Ivair Silva Postdoctoral fellowship (2012) in Statistics at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Bachelor (2005), Master (2007) and Doctor (2011) in Statistics by the Federal University of Minas Gerais. As a Professor at the Department of Computer of the Federal University of Ouro Preto, he is a part of the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science and of the Postgraduate Program in Applied Economics of the Federal University of Ouro Preto. Disciplines of interest: statistical inference, numeric calculus, discrete math, probability theory and computational statistics. He works in collaboration with scientists of the Harvard Medical School in the development of statistical sequential analysis theory with applications to monitoring adverse events in post-market drug and vaccine safety surveillance. Fields of interest: fundamentals of statistical for reconciling frequentist and Bayesian inferences, Monte Carlo methods, sequential analysis optimization, computational methods in sequential tests, multivariate analysis in high-dimension, spatial statistics, and time series inference.
